Best regular season. Now they have to win it all.
The Chargers have never had a regular season like this before. They won 12 times in the 1994 Superbowl season. Heading into those playoffs, they were far from the favorites. This year, they are the favorites to bring home the Lombardi. The question then is: Will anything less than the Championship be satisfying? Perhaps just making it to the Big Show will leave us humming happy tunes this off-season. But wouldn't we much rather be on that Jim-Morrisson-Indian-Peyote-Trip feeling instead?
A team's opportunity to win the Lombardi doesn't come around often. Statistically, it's once every 31 years. This team shouldn't have to wait that long again. But there should definitely be an urgency and expectancy among the players, coaches, and fans to win the Superbowl this year. This team has the most momentum, the best players, and one of the best coaching staffs. They are the clear favorites -- rookie QB or not. They really have to win it all this year.
